Telephone Calls During Office Hours

Our staff is trained to help you and we ask that you provide all necessary details concerning your problem to them. If the staff is assisting other patients, your call may be forwarded to voicemail. They will consult with your physician and return your call as soon as possible.

Telephone Calls After Office Hours

A physician from our group is on call 24 hours a day for emergencies, telephone consultations and visits to patients in the hospital. Please call our office number (423/629-4106)and the answering service will contact the on-call physician.

Calls for Prescriptions

Requests for prescription refills must be phoned to our office during regular business hours. We recommend you contact us as early in the day as possible.  Requests for medication refills will be processed only during regular office hours.

Emergency Calls

If you think you are having a heart attack or other medical emergency, please call 911. The hospital you are transported to will notify your cardiologist.

Insurance and Billing

Diagnostic Cardiology Group participates in many health insurance plans. You may contact our office for current information or questions regarding your coverage.

Any co-payments and deductibles required by your insurance company are due at the time of your visit. Diagnostic Cardiology Group accepts payments by credit card – VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Some insurance plans require a referral from your primary care physician. We ask that you obtain this referral prior to your visit. Failure to obtain the referral may result in delay or additional expense to you.

Should you have a change in coverage or personal status, we request you contact our insurance office as soon as possible so that we may update this information and avoid payment delays.
